What is Pure Via™?

Pure Via™ is derived from Stevia Rebaudiana, a plant native to Brazil and Paraguay. The sweetness in Pure Via™ comes from rebaudioside A, or Reb A.

What is Stevia?

Stevia is a plant in the Chrysanthemum family, native to Brazil and Paraguay which has been traditionally used as a sweetener, herb and remedy. Stevia extract has been used commercially as a sweetener in Asia for 30 years, in the US since December of 2008, and in Europe since November of 2011.

How does the taste of Pure Via™ compare to the sweetness and taste of sugar or artificial sweeteners?

Pure Via™ is a natural, healthy answer for anyone who wants the indulgent taste of sugar without any of the calories. Other Stevia sweeteners can have a strong bitter aftertaste and Pure Via™ does not. It has a natural sweet taste that consumers will enjoy.

Where does the name Pure Via™ come from?

Consumers helped to choose the name Pure Via™ as a reflection of both the purity of Reb A and the naturalness of the stevia plant.

Is Reb A natural?

Yes, Reb A is a natural extract of the stevia plant. Reb A is non-synthetic and nothing about Reb A is chemically or structurally altered when it is extracted from the stevia plant.
